I really loved working with you at the Jazz Hall of Fame. Sherri and Sherry really thought that you were wonderful. You are the best bassist I have ever heard and I am so glad that I have the priviledge of knowing you. You are always in my thoughts and prayers. I am so happy that I can say I know one of Jazz Musics greatest musicians.

Text: Hey Mr. Eaton,
I am 23 year old music collector and I just wanted to tell you that your music is some of my favorite listening. Instant Hip and Plenty Good Eaton are up there in my top 10 funk albums of all time - and I don't want to discredit all of the great work you did with Ramsey Lewis. You have one of the most unique, and best, bass sounds I have ever heard. You are one of those people who when you are being recorded it is instantly recognizable. Your music sends shivers down my spine - Best of wishes and I hope that you recover from your illness so you can continue to unleash your brilliance for the next generation of jazz/funk fans
Sincerely, Tim Marti - SLC, UT

Text: Hello Cleveland,
We have not yet met personally, however I have met your art of playing the bass with my ears and eyes. I am known as an electric bassist - my inspiration the play the bass comes from watching and listening to Keeter Betts, Milt Hinton, 'Slam' Stewart and most respectfully you. I thank the artistry of Christian McBride, and Buster Williams in unknowingly guiding me to you and the bass violin at my age of 69. I am still in my prime and I trust that the Universe will allow me to be as gifted an upright player as I see you, (with a little bit of me in it). I send as much energy your way as you can stand,
With Oceans of love and respect - Namaste,
Chuck Rainey
